Your 4-Day Kruger Budget Safari departs daily from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. You need to be at the OR Tambo bus terminal by 6:45 AM, with departure promptly at 7:00 AM. Once you have booked your Safari, we’ll send through the full instructions for a smooth start. 

You'll be travelling East, enjoying scenic views of rolling farmlands and beautiful landscapes en route to our lodge near Kruger National Park. We’ll be making one or two comfortable spots along the way, perfect time to stretch your legs and buy snacks/ refreshments before journeying forward. Your estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Hazyview is around 1 PM.

Once you arrive, check in to the chalets at the lodge and take some time to freshen up and relax. At approximately 3 PM, hop on to an open-sided land cruiser for a thrilling 2 to 2.5 hour guided game drive through Kruger National Park. The chalets are just a short 15 to 20 minute drive from the Phabeni Kruger Gate, putting you close to the action. 

After your exciting safari game drive, head back to the chalets to unwind with a refreshing drink and soak in the peaceful surroundings. 

Enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in your chalet.

Start your morning with a warm cup of coffee or tea accompanied with rusks before setting out on a full-day game drive in the Skukuza area of Kruger National Park. A packed breakfast is included for your convenience. The game drives take place in specially modified, 9-seater, open-sided land cruisers designed for optimal wildlife viewing and photography.

The Skukuza area is abundant in wildlife, and the elevated position of the 4x4 open-sided vehicle provides excellent vantage points. After our sunrise game drive, we will pause for  breakfast. In addition to the packed breakfast provided, you can also purchase additional food items at the shop in Kruger Park. 

After your packed breakfast the game drive continues until lunchtime. Lunch will be enjoyed at one of the park’s restaurants, at your own expense. After a 45-minute lunch break, we embark on an afternoon safari, further exploring the Kruger's diverse wildlife. 

Throughout the day, you’ll have ample opportunities to see and photograph a wide variety of wildlife. At the end of the day’s adventure, you’ll return to the chalets where you can unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Today you depart on your adventure on the Panorama Route, revealing one breathtaking view after another. After a delicious breakfast to fuel your day, get ready for an eight-hour journey through some of South Africa's most incredible landscapes. 

Various scenic stops will be made along the Panorama Route, first you'll step into a view that stretches on forever at God's Window. You'll then get to explore other epic sights like The Pinnacle and the unique, water-carved rock formations at Bourke's Luck Potholes. Prepare to be completely captivated by the majestic Blyde River Canyon, with its towering cliffs and the stunning Three Rondavels. You’ll also take in another incredible sight at Wonderview and witness a powerful waterfall, with water plunging from great heights.

At least one of the following waterfalls can be seen depending on the time of year and the rainfall: Lisbon Falls, Lone Creek Falls or Mac-Mac Falls.

Lunch will be available for you to buy along the route at your own expense.

On the final morning of your 4-Day Kruger Budget Safari, you’ll have the option to join another early morning sunrise game drive or enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing at the lodge. Please note, this sunrise game drive is optional and at your own expense.

Just before 12 AM, the lodge will arrange your transfer to the shuttle pickup point in Hazyview. From there, you will travel back to Johannesburg with comfort stops along the way. The estimated arrival time at OR Tambo Airport is between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.
